Describing the PE Bill as "long overdue", Aljunied GRC MP Cynthia Phua echoed the suggestion for the EduTrust scheme to be made compulsory for all PEIs. She said the Bill does not stipulate the qualification of teachers or the quality of courses and asked if required submissions on the types of courses to be offered are subjected to detailed checks. She added that civil service should recognise certification from PEIs once they are deemed acceptable.
